Chalcedony is a supervisor under White Diamond. She handles more technical issues and leaves the little paperwork to Pearl, who acts more as her assistant than servant. Chalcedony is logical and rational and doesn't let anyone see her as anything but the dutiful Gem she makes herself out to be. Pearl can get easily annoyed, but she does her work well, and is accustomed to dealing with the Gem elite.
